Bonnie Talks With You From the Word of God

The Condition of Your Heart

Apostasy (Greek, apostasia) appears twice in the new testament as a noun (Ac. 21:21; 2 Th. 2:3) and here in Heb. 3:12 as a verb (Greek, aphistemi, translated “turning away”). The Greek term is defined as a falling away, defection, rebellion, abandonment, withdrawal or turning from what one has formally turned to.

Heb. 3:12 to 14    See to it brothers that none of you has a sinful unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God”. But encourage one another daily as long it is called today so that none of you may be hardened by sins, deceitfulness. We have come to share in Christ if we hold firmly till the end the confidence we had at first”.

Heb. 9:22In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no forgiveness”.

Heb. 10:29 “How much more severely do you think a man deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God under foot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant, tat sanctifies him and who has insulted the spirit of grace”?

Sinning is a turning away from God, and will always results in death without repentance. There is a Harding of the Heart.

The Holy Spirit is always speaking to us through the Word of God, as David said, thy Word, I have hidden in my heart, that I may not sin against thee. David was a man after Gods own heart. And  David’s heart that was purified by God, when he recognized that he had sinned against God, with great sincerity of repentance, calling on God for help.

Rosh Hashanah is the Jewish New Year’s Day comes on the evening of the new moon and celebrates another year of life. Rosh Hashanah is solemn, as well as a festive. The New Year begins with in ten Days of Awe.  The Jewish people to reflect on gift of life, while striving, to make itself worthy of such a gift.  We as Christian, by Gods Holy Spirit that reminds us daily to reflect on our gift of life and strive to make ourselves worthy daily. Let us not grieve the Holy Spirit by ignoring His prompting of the condition of our sinful nature.  That we can be presented to God, a holy vessel pure by Christ shed blood, Holy and without fault. To be presented before God, pure and without spot or wrinkle.

Heb 3: 15 “Today if you hear Gods voice, do not harden not your hearts as you did in the rebellion.
