Christian Gre
etings in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ our Lord,
Grace and Mercy be multiplied to you, Glory, Honor, and Praise to the Lord God Almighty.
Are you ready for the coming persecution? It is on its way and the momentum for it is growing everyday. At the risk of sounding like an extreme alarmist I am regardless going to sound the alarm. Persecution for those who hold to true biblical morality and social conservative core values are going to be under siege in a much greater way in the coming months and years. I have been observing the dynamics of our spiritual, social, and political aspects of society. It has been my observation that all three of these facets of America are in rapid decay. Spiritually is the most important facet and the Church at large has compromised many tenants of the faith. There is hardly a line of demarcation between many churches and secular society today. It is hard to distinguish between what is called Christian and Secular, because many churches have compromised the practices of holiness and biblical teaching to accommodate carnality for the sake of larger congregations. Today homosexuality, adultery, divorce, fornication, extortion, drug and alcohol addiction and every kind of vice are running rampant in our churches, and many pastors choose to turn a blind eye and preach soothing messages of positivism instead of repentance. But the good news is that there is a remnant who are holding fast to the truth and proclaiming and practicing those truths in their lives and ministries. However, it is these whom are the target of an ever growing consensus against true Christianity. It will be those who will be singled out and persecuted more and more as time goes by. Secular Progressives are not the friends of equal rights even though they preach the gospel of egalitarianism. Secular Progressives are adding to their ranks each year through the radical leftist professors in many of our State Universities. Also the hero’s of secular humanist are usually cruel past and present Marxist oriented dictators who have no use for God in their communistic or socialist dictatorial government. However, Secular Progressivism is not the only opponent in our society which has set it sights on true Christianity and Social Conservatism. The rise and prestige which Islam as well as some other eastern religions has been given in our society is astounding. Do you think that our Founding Fathers ever imagined a Wiccan Priest, Homosexual Priest or Minister, Islamic Priest, or any other so called ministers to be required staff of our Military, Penal, or Hospitals to accommodate U.S. citizens. I would say not! Do you think that our Founding Fathers would go along with the massive debt incurring political policies which will burden generations to come for the sake of a flawed political ideology. I would say not! I was talking to an Atheist at a meeting for Public Access Television. This atheist has a program which is about politics and deals with the subject of Freedom of Speech, on the same channel that I have my broadcast. Evidently she had never seen my program and ask who I was and what my program was about. When I told her, she proceeded to tell me she didn’t want to hear about any God and was doing all she could to silence anything Christian from off the air. When I countered her about freedom of speech, her response in so many words was that as a Christian I did not have any right to be on public airways. So much for “ the Freedom of Speech “! It was not any surprise to me that she is a lesbian and her mission is to prove that there is no God and that all of those who hold such convictions are ignorant in her sight. This is not speculation, these are her own words. She is just one in an every growing army which is militant against true Christianity and Social Conservatism. Among those in the Secular Progressive camp there is a distain for anything American, Christian, or Wholesome. There is going to be an all out assault upon even our opinions soon. The “ thought police “ are coming soon with arrest warrants in hand to arrest, prosecute, and punish anyone who stands in opposition against their decadent philosophies and anti-capitalistic politics. Secular Progressives are going to solicit anti-America law firms to push forth their agendas in the judiciary system to enact laws to persecute then prosecute anyone who holds a different view. This is one reason the renewal for a so-called “ fairness doctrine” and so-called “ hate crimes “ legislation is back in the system for review and a possible ratification in the Courts. Now more than ever is the time to seek the face of God for a Spiritual Renewal among God’s children. It is time for a Revival in the Land. [17] For the time has come for judgment, and it must begin first among God's own children. And if even we Christians must be judged, what terrible fate awaits those who have never believed God's Good News? [18] And "If the righteous are barely saved, what chance will the godless and sinners have?" [19] So if you are suffering according to God's will, keep on doing what is right, and trust yourself to the God who made you, for he will never fail you. 1 Peter 4:17-19 (NLT) I hope you are not looking at life through rose colored glasses, living in the denial of the reality of the digression of our culture. The reality that a major percentage of the American populace would not oppose a socialistic government, that because evolution is taught as fact, that many of our youth come out of colleges believing there is no God, that because the majority of so called high profile role models advocate homosexuality, adultery, fornication that many of our youth are being deceived into thinking its okay. That extreme environmentalist are encroaching upon our lifestyles with lobby dollars to bring taxation upon our families which would burden an already over taxed populace. I hope you are not in denial of the reality that our government today is bigger and spending more money than ever in recorded history, and that job loss is at an ever increasing rate with every month that goes by. I hope you are not naïve enough to think that there are not regimes or terror groups that do not want to destroy the United States by any means possible. Who would kill you just because you are an American period. Myself, I have hope in Jesus Christ, he is the way, the truth, and the life! He is able to deliver me to through the uttermost devastation, but, he also requires that I do not stick my head in the sand and try to ignore the reality of the decadence, digression, and decay of the society in which I live. I understand that to stand for Jesus means that I will suffer persecution and ridicule in the present atmosphere of the societal culture and politics. [12] Yes, and everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. [13] But evil people and impostors will flourish. They will go on deceiving others, and they themselves will be deceived. [14] But you must remain faithful to the things you have been taught. You know they are true, for you know you can trust those who taught you. 2 Tim. 3:12-14 (NLT) I ask you, are you ready for the coming persecution? Ready or not, it is coming and hopefully you will have prepared yourself to stand strong for the Lord. Visit Us at firerevival.org Your Emissary of the Faith, D.R. Ritchie D.R. Many of us are on a spiritual quest to find the perfect will of God. Rosh Hashanah is upon us and it is a time of reflection. A time to reflect the past year concerning our conduct in this life, a time to put things in perspective, a time to seek God’s face. Where are we headed as a part of the body of Christ, and how does our life, gifts, and callings effect the overall influence we have as a collective body on the outcome of this present age. There are many prophecies concerning the end times and the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. One scripture which keeps coming into my mind is :
[12] Sin will be rampant everywhere, and the love of many will grow cold. Matthew 24:12 (NLT)
There are many sinful practices within the body of Christ today which are virtually winked at from the pulpit of our modern churches today. Every lifestyle imaginable is acceptable within the confines of Christianity. The pulpit is used more to justify sin and sinful practices today than to call sinners to accountability. I am not talking about those who are struggling with sin in their lives and trying to do something about it. I am talking about those who justify and advocate themselves and others who live lives which the bible, God’s Holy Word says is sinful and abominable. We must not allow the condition of present day apostasy within the Church to harden our hearts and cause our love of God to grow cold.
Rosh Hashanah is a time of reflection, a time to contemplate our selves in relation to our standing with God and man. You may be saying what does an Old Testament ritual have to do with my New Testament faith? The answer, it is a type and shadow for the Christian experience. Old Testament festivals were celebrated in part as commemorative attributes to Israel’s milestones as a collective nation and their relationship to God.
Therefore as a Christian, I may also use this time to reflect the milestones of my own spiritual experience and walk with God for the purpose of giving credit to God for my victories and contemplating the reasons for some of my failures and shortcomings in life. Then apply the principles of prayer, the precepts of the word of God, and benefits of Christian fellowship to my life.
The pulpit is a place to perpetuate instruction for righteous living within a world of sinful inclination. To articulate principles to grow in the grace and the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ, and we must also remember that we are a complexity of spirit, soul, and body.
1st Thessalonians. 5:23
[23] Now may the God of peace make you holy in every way, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless until that day when our Lord Jesus Christ comes again. ( NLT )
It is God’s desire for us to sanctify ourselves in every area of our lives. The order of God concerning these three components of our being is that our Spiritual man should be “ master” our soul or mind should be the “ servant “ of the Spirit, and that our body should be “ slave “. If we keep this order, we will keep a balanced spiritual life which keeps us strong spiritually, while maintaining a balanced perspective concerning our world view and our responsibilities to God, Family, Mankind, and Country. It is God’s desire that we integrate society but do not dissipate within it. We cannot lose our distinction as a Holy People.
[9] But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
1st Peter 2:9 (KJV)
My brethren, this in my exhortation, please do not allow the duplicity of much of present day Christianity to dull your spiritual senses to the power and presence of a Holy Creator to preserve you until the coming of the Lord. Hold on the God’s unchanging hand, and do not be over anxious for he cares for you. God is able to make you to abound in every good work, and he cares for his own. We may be experiencing a Economical Famine at present, but our hope is in God our Provider. We can not afford to look back once we have put our hands to the gospel plow.
In closing, I want to point to the fact that each of us, who have received Christ as Lord are pilgrims and aliens on a journey to the promised land. This journey is full of surprises which are widely diverse. Some of these experiences are full of joy, while others are full of pain. During this journey we must never allow ourselves to think that we have arrived and that we now know it all and that we are fully perfected. At best, we are all just practicing our faith and trying to perfect our walk. But each day brings with it, victory and defeat, faith and doubt, courage and discouragement. Each day has it own rewards and has it own punishments, but we should never take our eyes off of the prize which awaits us. The day when we shall hear, “ enter in my good and faithful servant” .
Please take time to reflect on the will of God for your life in particular and how God wants to use YOU for his glory.
3 John 1:2
Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
